Welcome to Fax-IT Version 3.0, modified for Cnet!
NEW FEATURES:
o Phonebook support. Thanks Glenn!!
o External config. files to make setting up _alot_ easier.
o Fixes of some bugs that popped up as a result of my V1.0 conversion
o Clearer (hopefully) CNet setup instructions
Many Thanks to DAVID WEEKS for pointing out that nifty GetUser value that points to
Cnet's _edbuff files. As of this version, you'll no longer need to enter in
a DataPath.
INSTALLATION:
This is the great part:
o Create a FAX-IT directory in your Doors: path.
o (You will need a Doors: assign, if you don't already have one)
o Put the contents of the FAX-IT directory in the archive into your FAX-IT directory.
o Adopt FaxIT as an Arexx program,
o Adjust the configuration files as in Glenn's instructions.
o YOU'RE DONE!
** NOTE **
If you are upgrading from V1.0 you will need to replace
all the files in the FAX-IT directory with the new ones and
redo all your changes you made.
Sorry!
If you're a USRobotics user and run Trapdoor on the same line as GPFax, you might
want to have a look in the "USRobotics_Users/" directory. I put the AutoCall.GPF
that I'm using on my system there along with some words of..
::ahem!:: ..encouragement <g>.
See Glenn's FAX-IT.doc for other IMPORTANT information you'll need to get up and
runnning properly.
Also please note that Glenn's program is Shareware. Please respect his distribution
wishes.
DISCLAIMER:
This CNet modification of Fax-IT is guaranteed to take up space on your hardrive
no other guarantees are made or implied. It works great on my system, yours might
blow up. Life is funny that way.
